Photo versus Scanning   Leave a comment

One thing I noticed when I did the review of the Pelikan M205 Duo was that scanning a writing sample, my typical technique, didn’t capture the color of the ink quite right. I went to use a photograph. It was an interesting phenomenon. I wanted to experiment, so I created a writing sample and try it both ways.

Overall, I think the photo shows the characteristics of the ink well, though some aspects, such as feathering, show better in the scan.

What do you think?
